So That

  • Usage: Used to indicate the purpose or intention behind an action.
  • Structure: Main Clause + so that + Purpose Clause
  • Example: "She turned off the lights so that we could sleep." 

Such That

  • Usage: Used to show that something is true to such an extent that it causes a particular result.
  • Structure: Such + Adjective/Adverb + Noun + that + Result Clause
  • Example: "The exam was such a challenge that many students were nervous."
