Direct University Entry

Eligibility for Bachelor’s programs depends on the student’s academic background and country of previous education. EP Berlin conducts a preliminary academic evaluation.

For Master’s degrees, Germany offers over 10,000 programs across more than 400 institutions. Admission criteria vary depending on recognition status, GPA, and academic background.

Pathway via Studienkolleg

Studienkolleg is a preparatory year required for students whose secondary education is not equivalent to the German Abitur.

• Instruction is conducted in German.
• Entrance exams require B2/C1 level German.
• Some programs require mathematics testing.
• The program lasts two semesters.
• Students complete the FSP examination.
• Successful candidates may apply to public universities

Step 1 – Free Preliminary Evaluation

Step 2 – Application & Documentation
Guidance is provided for document translation, notarisation, and submission.
Students apply for at least one Conditional Letter of Acceptance (CLA) or VPD

Step 3 – German Course at EP Berlin (16–50 Weeks)
Students must reach C1 Academic German level.
TELC C1 Hochschule examination is included.

Step 4 – Studienkolleg Entrance Preparation
Online entrance preparation support is available.
Minimum required level: B1/B2.

Step 5 – University Placement (6–8 Weeks)
